Here's the finished version of the little dragon image I posted a few weeks ago. I've decided that (a) this is first in what will be a long series, and (b) that I'm going with an elemental type of theme. This is a "water" variation.
For the dragon, I used Prismacolor pencils over a watercolor underpainting. There are gel pen details.
For the underlayer background, I used watercolor, then some gel pen details. I added tiny seashells and starfish. There are freshwater pearls also. The lozenge-shaped stone near the dragon's raised hand is larimar. The purple stones along the bottom and right edges are amethyst. Everything else falls under the "shiny bits" category.
