Takei sat on the tatami and looked at the little wolf, who stood before him in a deep bow.
"So you want to be a samurai?" the tiger asked, smoking his pipe. The wolf nodded.
"Yes, Sensei. Please teach me how to fight!"
The tiger calmly looked at his guest with his eyes.
"Are you sure of that, young man? Being a samurai is not an easy task. You must give your all to serving your homeland and the emperor."
The wolf pounded his chest with his fist.
"I am ready! For the glory of Japan, I will fight like a true warrior."
He got down on one knee and repeated:
"Please, Takei-sama! Teach me everything you know!"
The tiger sighed. His naked strong chest heaved like a balloon.
"Very well, my boy, I will take you as my apprentice."
"I thank you!"
And bowing courteously, the wolf walked out. A smile played on his lips.
"I love you, Takei. I want you to be proud of me. That's what made me come to you today."
Meanwhile, Takei himself was smoking and thinking about the wolf.
"Ah, Saburo, I tried so hard to shield you from samurai service, but you still proved stubborn... My love, I know what it is to be a ronin, I know the horrors of war. And yet I'm proud of you for not giving up. I will wait for you tomorrow to begin training."
So they thought as they waited for tomorrow morning. Saburo thought about how Takei would train him, and after training they would go for a walk, and there he would propose to the tiger to date. And Takei was thinking about the gift he would give to the one he loved more than life.
