BlackRat, aka Keanon Woods, had this commission on his plate from me for a long time. And a series of unfortunate circumstances kept thwarting this project. That, and a bunch of corrections/mods/whatever from me.

Here we have a not-really-canon Rooth origin story, to go along in the same universe with another story that I'll be posting soon. Sudden and unexpected transformation may be hazardous to your health! Especially under such treacherous conditions. They may also be hazardous to your wallet -- he's already lost his shoes at this point, now he's losing that safety harness. They may also be hazardous to your prudence, but less so in a dragon's case, since they tend to keep their privates private by way of anatomical efficiency. Or something like that.
