“It’s a pleasure to meet your acquaintance,” she purred, and offered you a slender hand to kiss. As you took her hand and pressed your lips to her cold flesh, it occurred to you that she felt more like a statue than a person. You pulled your face away from her hand and realized your lips were beginning to bleed.
