A few years ago I had made these little pieces of black char cloth to be used for fire-making. I made the sheath for the lens out of 2 circles of soft leather and stiched with spiderwire. all this except the magnesium/flint bar&hacksaw blade, fits in this round altoids can, which I keep with my backpacking gear. (I also carry a bic lighter, and a pill bottle of strike-anywhere matches, not shown).
