right now I'm using this as boss music for my game, it loops normally, so it's not gonna sound QUITE right, unless your machine loops things flawlessly... but I like it, please... tell me what you think
it took me 10 minutes to fix up in FL then I made it into a musical thingey in acoustica ^-^

Hmmmmmmmmm...
Opinion: REALLY NICE SOUNDING so far.
But I thought it'd last longer than how long it does.
Suggestion:
Do the techno part, the little acoustic part, then the techno part but in a higher key (You should be able to hear the key I'm talking about), then do the techno part back in the key it was in, and do the acoustic part... then do the higher-key techno thing.. etc. :O
Sounds great so far.. Impressive! I wonder how you could do that on the comp.. :O

Yeah, ST has an idea going there. It does sound boss-ish, but if it is going to be as long as a boss battle, it needs to vary or it'll get on peoples nerves eventually. Maybe throw in another sequence or two to make it flow more as an epic boss fight, or somethin.
*shrug* I'm not very good at describing music >.<

I get this question a lot... And I've asked it a lot myself (without much an answer). I've come to realise that music, as with art, is something of an inherent trait, and a ton of practice.
Like, I've been working with FL Studio for the past three years, just to get where I am now. I guess some advice I could give you is this: Check out BenAnderson's (he's here on FA)guide to basic trance beats in FL, and get some 3rd party VSTi; same applies for drumloops.
A lot of it, though, is just working with the program and tweaking with it. For hours. That's what I've had to do, and usually the longer I spend on a song, which is usually around 5-10 hours at most, the better it is (see my "Decisive Battle" remix for an example of this).

I rather like this for a boss theme. It reminds me of a Devil May Cry action scene or something from Defender.
I'm not really sure about the thumping gap between every few seconds though. There needs to be something more. It just kinda ruins the traditional theme. It makes me feel like there's a slow motion scene every five seconds. :P
This could always be the intro to a theme though... ^^ Nice work either way.
