Charlie has been having a bit of a tough time ever since he ended up an Alcremie girl, what with his mother's reaction and everything. As it turns out, Charlie's mom wasn't all that keen on wanting to deal with her after the change. Instead, once Charlie got out of quarantine, she found herself being taken in by her grandmother.

Though by an interesting twist, it would turn out that her grandmother was Bridget Hawthorne, the woman providing all of the necessary funding that allowed Team Union to conduct their research.

Still, at the very least, Bridget loved her grandchild dearly, and wasn't too fond of the way her daughter decided to treat the newly morphed child.
