This takes place after securing the Lake Zone's Code Crown and formation of Shoutmon X4K. It's a "cutting the hair" event known throughout Asian culture by extension and a transition from Lisanna's flashback appearence to her post-Edolas appearance. The blouse stays on until she gets home and changes into the blue shirt/hot pants combo, reflecting her more tomboyish streak.
"After a battle in the Lake Zone, Lisanna felt her body give out from all the sleep she'd been putting off and collapsed just as she was thanking Princess Beastmon. Her Highness was most grateful for the Fusion Fighters defending her kingdom that she personally let Lisanna rest in her quarters while her clothes got a good cleaning. The Red General woke up and immediately hit it off with Beastmon with a little girl-to-girl time to themselves. Braiding hair, exchange gossip and singing like nobody's watching. It felt... familiar.
Soon enough, the Princess talked about how her father risked it all to take the fight to Bagramon before the Digital World was fragmented along with the Code Crown. Her mother, the Queen, had fought with Knightmon to barely protect the Lake Zone and fell, a moment that weighed heavily on her bodyguard's heart.
It was her demeanor and talk of family that reminded Lisanna of Mirajane, especially the way she was torn away from her big sister. Soon Elfman, Natsu and all of Fairy Tail were swirling in her head in a sudden dose of yearning and fear. They knew nothing of where she was and never would if the Bagra Army's near limitless forces made the push to delete the Fusion Fighters.
It was this doubt that caught the attention of Laylamon who was attempting to reach out and tempt one of their enemies into bringing her the Code Crown. Lisanna saw visions of Mirajane who claimed that she was using rare magic to seek out her sister and that a Code Crown was all they needed to open a portal home. The Red General felt Laylamon's subtle spell and found her opportunity when Beastmon came over.
Lisanna learned that the Code Crown was in the King's statue and only accessed Beastmon's bead necklace. Using what little magic she could, she utilized her Cat Soul Takeover to sucker punch the Princess and grab her necklace before she could react. She burnt out her energy but got to the statue in time to get the Code Crown. Who she thought was Mira led her to the Ice Cavern where Laylamon awaited her.
The spell partially broke when Lisanna recognized the Bagra General but still felt tempted when Laylamon offered to open a gate back to Earth in exchange for the Code Crown. Thankfully, Beastmon had led the Fusion Fighters to the scene and talked Lisanna down. The Princess especially empathized with Liz's fear. She'd often shirked from engaging in battle and wanted to escape to her own desires by sleeping the day away. However, seeing the Fusion Fighter's work so hard for nothing in returned reminded her of what her father and mother stood for against all odds.
Beastmon helped use the Witch Warp dance (the same she showed Lisanna) as a means of disorienting their soldiers guarding Laylamon and helping to break the spell on Lisanna. Laylamon tried to stop the general from getting away with the Code Crown by grabbing her hair but the Red General slashed her away, making a gash on Laylamon's palm while shearing off a good amount of her hair. It was this offense that really set the general on the warpath.
It took Shoutmon X4 fusing with Knightmon and the Pawnchessmon to win the day. Afterwards, Lisanna apologized to Beastmon for the sucker punch but the Princess wasn't one for grudges. In fact, she proposed two things: one was a haircut for the Red General in order to fix what Laylamon had ruined. With just her two claws, she snipped Lisanna's unruly hair into something shorter but stylish. Liz couldn't believe how great it felt when she felt it.
It reminded her of Mirajane doing it for her whenever they were saving on cash but... somehow it didn't hurt as much to remember. Much as she missed Fairy Tail, she remembered that she couldn't just look the other way when people needed her help. She knew that there wasn't a Fairy Tail Wizard that wouldn't back her on that, much less her siblings.
The second proposal was for Beastmon, Knightmon and the Pawnchessmon to join the Fusion Fighters under Lisanna's leadership. The Princess looked up at the statue of her father and declared that she doesn't want to curl up like a kitten anymore. She wanted to finish what her parents had started and become the kind of princess that would soon become Queen. Lisanna couldn't say no and promised to teach her Highness that sucker punch along the way.
However, the pink cuffs were left behind at the castle with all of the fuss going on. Whether conscious of it or not, Lisanna was changing herself inside and out."
With the absence of Angie and Jeremy, a lot of their plotlines are delegated to other characters such as Lisanna herself or even underutilized members of the Fusion Fighters. I always felt like they deserved at least one episode to show why they're dedicated to the cause and never got why we had two humans who didn't even have Digivices of any sort.
Here, Liz is Akari being tempted with a way home while Beastmon is the one to empathize and talk down the General. It contributes to both characters changing internally and externally.
It'd also make for some spicy animation of Beastmon's dancing attacks. Saban could cover up the boobs but that won't stop promising furries from awakening. This is Digimon after all. We allllll remember Renamon.
