Ame... Now Ame is a character who's been needing a real ref for ages so now here at last is a ref for her!
Still working on a-couple more variations for different outfits, but that's one of the things I like about these refs I've done. Makes it easy to design and apply outfits ^^
Name : Amethine (Ame) Stege
Occupation : Freelance Artist for both individual clients and small companies
Species : Midnight Lycanroc
Size : Base - 7' ; Max - Unknown (linked with Kyra's size)
Personality : Casual, teasing, carefree, growaholic
Relations :
- Cousin of Benock/Benna
- Was once a student of and later Teacher's Assistant under Skögul
- Newly married to Kyra
-- Accidentally and irrevocably linked to Kyra at a deep, literally soul-binding level for years
Abilities :
- Worship, Praise, and Adoration Sponge -
While it is not an ability of Ame's, she is linked to Kyra in such a way that when Kyra grows in any way, that growth is reflected in Ame. Kyra grows from most forms of worship, praise, adoration, thanks, appreciation, and love that are directed her way. This can also include non-verbal and even subconscious attention sent Kyra's way such as an individual staring at and appreciating Kyra's figure, thinking about her and mentally appreciating anything about her, and even dreams about her. The resulting growth primarily takes the form of full body growth with some small increases in proportions around areas like the breasts, hips, and paws. However, excess focus on certain areas can lead to an increased pace of expansion of said areas.
Ame's love for Kyra and the intimacy they share tends to be one of the main instigators for the pair's growth and once a certain size has been reached their continued growth becomes difficult to avoid. The larger they get, the more easy it is for people to see Kyra and the more that news of her spreads. Once at that point, these events usually lead the pair to reach planetary or solar scales before slowing down and stopping. With time Kyra and Ame do return to normal, but it requires time and concentration for Kyra to expel all that Deific energy. She can usually return the two of them to their base normal heights within an hour, but this tends to be made difficult by Ame's efforts and attentions.
It is unknown just how large Ame and Kyra can get, but there are no indications of limits even after the two have outgrown the universe, so as long as Kyra continues to have worship, praise, adoration, thanks, appreciation, and love directed towards her the pair could potentially continue to grow forever. Also, the longer Kyra has gone without receiving large amounts of worship, praise, adoration, thanks, appreciation, and love, the more potent any she receives becomes. Receiving a "Thanks for holding the door open" the day after outgrowing the universe and returning to normal may be enough to add a-couple inches to her height. That same thanks a month later would be enough to have her outgrowing the building.
Background :
Growing up, Ame was always the short one. Even though her parents were slightly above average for Lycanroc and with Lycanroc of the Midnight variety always tending to be tall and lanky, Ame seemed to have inherited the runt genes. At only 4'11' after her final growth spurt and not at all lanky, Ame could not help but be frustrated by her shortness and turned to art for solace as it had always been something she had loved and offered her a way to imagine and picture herself being more than her mere 4'11'. Many of her favorite early drawings were of her standing head and shoulders and more over others with long long legs and arms, but over time those drawings of herself had her taller and taller and taller and taller. Rooted deep in her mind was a desire to be taller, longer, and just bigger.
Going to college, Ame worked towards earning a degree in the art realm and eventually managed to earn for herself a Master of Fine Arts and Design degree. Learning new techniques and concepts along with the skills for conducting herself professionally for larger corporate clients in addition to the individual clients who would commission her to draw for them. While her professional work was expected to be of a tame nature, her commissions for individual clients almost exclusively involved characters drawn at massive scales much like her drawings of herself.
While working on her degrees, Ame also met one of her favorite professors who would also one day marry her green furred cousin. While history was not too important to her degrees, Skögul had a way of teaching that the class that fascinated Ame and even made a point to work in mentions of how art had evolved over time too after Ame's asking questions about historical art. Ame so loved the class and Skögul's approach that she even volunteered to TA for the class for the rest of her time at the university. Even though Skögul stood very nearly twice Ame's own height, Ame found herself strangely not bothered by the difference like she usually was. Something she chalked up to Skögul's charisma and the way she was clearly built for such a size.
After graduating, Ame began work as a professional freelance artist and split her time evenly between projects for various small corporate entities and the macro and hyper commission work that had supported her through her college years. While the work was satisfying, the pay did leave something to be desired. Especially with trying to live in a city that also happened to have a large base of potential corporate clients. She did manage to find a modest two bedroom apartment eventually and even someone interested in being a roommate in the apartment and sharing the cost.
This roommate was an unusual grey furred vulpine-like woman named Kyra that was clearly new to the area and didn't really resemble any species of Pokemon that Ame had ever heard of or seen. Regardless of her confusion, Ame welcomed her new 5'7'' roommate with very happy open arms (during her college years and working under Skögul, Ame had finally opened up to become a much more casual, happy, and carefree person in spite of the annoyance over her size) and worked hard to be the best roommate she could be.
Not long after Kyra moved in, though, Ame began to notice some unusual things about her roommate. Things like how occasionally very annoyingly broken things that in the apartment would the next day somehow be fixed, sometimes hearing Kyra grumbling about the strangest things, and the many odd gaps in Kyra's knowledge of the world and its history. The most unusual thing, though, and which most grabbed Ame's attention was that Kyra had a tendency to be taller than 5'7''. It took some time for her to be sure given their already 8'' height difference, but when Ame caught Kyra coming home one day surreptitiously standing next to the carefully hidden ruler she had marked into some of the apartment's doorframes and oddly too looking like she her outfit wasn't fitting quite right, she was at last able to confront Kyra about how she often seems taller for some reason.
Kyra denied Ame's accusations and continued to for the next month even as Ame worked to build up more and more evidence. It was not that Ame was angry at Kyra, but that a small part of her was wondering maybe... Just maybe... If Kyra really was somehow growing taller from time to time maybe Ame could at last experience what it's like to be tall too.
After a month of Ame's gathering evidence and pestering, Kyra finally gave in and explained to Ame why she so often seemed to be larger than normal. Not revealing everything about where she came from and who she was back there, but at least explaining she's actually a Deity who just wants to live a normal, quiet life. A Deity who unfortunately soaks up worship, praise, adoration, thanks, appreciation, and attention directed her way and grows as a result. Ame was naturally shocked, but managed to get over her shock quickly and tested Ame by giving her the most sincere compliment she could think of and that she had never mentioned before. This naturally got Kyra blushing and the sincerity of the compliments sent her growing nearly a full foot taller over the course of the next minute.
With the truth out, Ame then began to try to convince Kyra to make her taller. Not as a condition for continued friendship or with a threat of revealing her secret or anything like that, but simply to try and convince her friend to agree. Even if she never did Ame would be happy to continue to be roommates. After another week of this pestering (along with continued compliments that Ame would randomly throw Kyra's way when she wasn't expecting them), Kyra did finally agree.
Unfortunately for Kyra, she was actually rather inexperienced in using her Deific abilities. A combination of not wanting them, not practicing them, and never actually having tried to use them on someone else. Despite this inexperience, Kyra did make Ame taller and lankier. A-little over 2' taller all the way up to 7' total! But it was as Ame reveled in her new height and gave Kyra the biggest hug she had ever given her and thanked Kyra profusely again and again and again (this having been a dream Ame had thought impossible for so much of her life, she was extremely grateful) that Kyra realized she had accidentally done more than just make Ame taller.
Kyra grew taller and larger from Ame's deeply heartfelt thanks, but where she thought she'd be catching up with and surpassing Ame in height again, Kyra quickly realized that she wasn't. She was clearly growing, but so too was Ame. In her inexperience, Kyra had accidentally linked herself and Ame so thoroughly and at a level so deep that their souls were now irrevocably bound together. The result of which was plain for both of them to see and that Ame quickly took notice of too.
Following this event, Kyra and Ame continued with their lives as normal but also not so normally. Ame frequently reveled in her new size and developed a deep love for embracing her new opportunity to grow still larger by lavishing her goddess in hiding friend with compliments and attention and affection. All of this naturally leading them to occasionally grow to sizes rivaling cities, the planet, and even eventually the universe itself once. Often to Kyra's annoyed frustration as this all made living a quiet, normal life rather difficult. But something which surprised Kyra was how potent all of this attention and affection she received was. Sincere worship, praise, adoration, thanks, appreciation, and attention was always more powerful than insincere, but what she was receiving from Ame was somehow even greater.
The reason slowly but surely became evident to the both of them as Ame's affections became more frequent and verbose and as she even began to sneak in little kisses where she could. Ame had clearly fallen for Kyra and despite how frustrated Ame's love of growing could get sometimes, Kyra could not deny she had developed feelings for the purple growaholic too. She of course tried to deny it for quite some time, but eventually she had to admit it both to herself and to Ame.
Now, while Ame does frequently give in to her desire to grow and lavish her lover (and now wife), Kyra, she does at least try to keep things down a-little bit so they at least don't break out of the apartment every night~
And there you have it! At long last Ame has a ref and a solidly defined backstory ^^
Do have a-few more outfit ideas and even some potential ideas for how she's bit by bit developing into a goddess in her own right and how she'll eventually figure that out, but that's for the future~

Yeah originally the idea was that she was just a professional artist for some company, perhaps even the same one Benock works for. But that's since developed into her being a full time freelance artist mixing professional contracts and working with individual commissioners and once I went to that... She had to have a passion for drawing macro art XD
Thought about giving some examples of the compliments, but figured nah leave that up for the imagination~
