The planet that is home to the steel predators also contains populations of bear-like creatures we ended up calling firefriends, since we never thought of a different name to give them. Basically we wanted typhlosion stand-ins in the setting, and so we adapted them as fire-breathing, bear-shaped creatures.

In this picture I was showing the differences between two named firefriends within the setting and describing the different patterns commonly seen among members of the species.
