My d&d group had not too long ago started a new campaign, "Hoard of the Dragon Queen", where our original d&d characters were whisked back into the past to their ancestor minds. Since our DM allowed homebrew races, I had written up my Darjeets as a playable d&d race.
Tali is a young female Darjeet Drakewarden solider (Yes, a Drake who is a Drakewarden) (Also first time I had to figure out how a Darjeet would wear armor and pants too, as jeets in D&D are far more modest about themselves). They raise drakes from the start who they bond with since their hatching, and Tali's drake, Amrero happens to be a lighting drake, where he has a tendency to not tolerate any shenanigans, even though Tali tend to be involved in many of these shenanigans since the start of this campaign.
These games had also allowed me to flesh out their water-tendrils ability more as a species ability with their own entire spell list. A lot of this is still a work in progress and will be for years to come, but you can at the least read their race overview at World Anvil where I posted the works at - https://www.worldanvil.com/w/the-da.....?preview=true?
