Sausage Cheese fries with onion and mushrooms
I took leftover fries and turned them into a squeaky cheesy dinner treat!
Here’s what I used:
Leftover fries
1/2 onion
2 mushrooms
Mixed shredded cheese (2 handfuls)
3 breakfast sausage discs
Here’s the recipe:
1-preheat oven to 425
2-cook sausage in a hot pan and mash until meat is reduced to a nice crumble then add mushrooms and onions
3-bake leftover fries in oven until crispy (about 4-6 minutes)
4-apply 1st layer of cheese then add sausage crumble+mushrooms and onion then add second layer of cheese before returning to oven to bake again until cheese is melted (careful not to burn!)
5-let cool for 3-5 minutes then dig in and enjoy!
