Ruka-Fawkes explores an ancient alien ruin- the remains of a civilization carved into mountainsides. The only living things to be found inside are bioluminescent plants, but that’s not a problem. Hidden inside is a carved tablet depicting a forgotten god. Now Ruka has to decide if he’s going to sell it, or hang onto it for himself.

I have a lot of fun with spec evo and alien designs. I like to imagine that this was a race of large, octopodal creatures with massive digging claws for their first set of limbs, smaller hand like appendages for their second pair, followed by 4 large feet. They used a glowing material for their torches so that they did not need to be maintained, which still offers minimal amounts of light. In their absence, their structures became a home for cave plants which use bioluminescence to attract pollinators and can live on the small amounts of light that make their way into the structure.
