People always get it wrong with death. That death is some cruel force, looking to add you to it’s hoard of souls at any chance it gets. Such was Ezikial Gallows thoughts as his life faded after the mob left him for dead. But, what he was not expecting… was a job. Death, as it turns out, is actually named Etherius, and she is actually quite kind. When she saw all the good doctor had done to cure the plague, the lengths he went to,the magic he taught himself… she couldn’t just let him join the others in the Eternal Rest. She instead offered him a position as one of her Soul Ferrymen. After thinking on it, Ezilial accepted. His assignment was pretty simple. The death dragon had recently taken on a new herald, someone to track down lost souls in the past and future, and he needed a means to return said souls to her
