EDIT: After experimenting a little with the new design here, I have honestly completely forgotten about it, and now looking back, it looks nice but white Kajirra is white Kajirra x)) I'll be keeping her that way and I'm fairly sure that concludes any further attempts to change her haha

Yes I am once again experimenting with Kajirra's design
Both me and  tomoefuchs still really like the idea of her having a winter and summer coat, and since I had a lot of time to doodle these past days, I decided to try and make a different re-design for her. The previous one, I wasn't really satisfied with from the very start; I did tons of different variations and none of them stuck, hence why we decided to just scratch it entirely and leave her white. This time I tried something a bit more bold, and I am actually very happy with the result! This is much closer to what I imagined. I might tweak the hues of the brown a little still, but otherwise there's nothing I would change. I'm definitely not ready to say for certain that this design is gonna stay, but for now I am hopeful! Of course it would only be her summer coat for warmer seasons - her solid white design will remain nonetheless :)
This picture was meant to be just some quickly shaded Kajirra so I see how it looks. Whelp. I also happened to make some new brushes, and wanted to try them out. And I also really wanted to make a couple picture of Kajirra and Tomoe again. So I combined it all together! Shame I didn't make them werebeasts here, then it could be used for Thira as well XD

Oh the background is also another little achievement for me - I was always admiring the more painterly style, and wanted to make my BGs softer so they go better with the soft fur on the characters. Unfortunately, I was always too hesitant to really lean into it, and relied on using brushes instead. After several (failed) experiments, I finally managed to get it look the way I want! (Though I know not to celebrate early; usually it's just one lucky coincidence rather than me actually learning)
