and what a frabjous day it is! callooh! callay! :]

lon40 asked me if i wouldn't mind sketching my take on his super-sized feline heroine, Sierra. i was honored to do so, and i sincerely apologize for my woeful tardiness in her doodling. i could (and, indeed, would like to) excuse myself with an exciting tale bristling with adventure, fraught with danger, and abounding with scantily-clad women engaged in a variety of R-rated leisure-time activities, but the reality is that i'm a scatterbrained tenth-level procrastinician when it comes to artwork, and my momma taught me not to tell lies. i learned good!
when i showed lon the original sketch -- Sierra hoists the bus out of the reach of some invisible peril, a raucous cheer is raised, etc. -- i wondered aloud at what unseen evil our fearless champion might be saving the hapless citizenry and that fine example of public transportation from. lon's suggestion? THE MUSIC OF JOHN TESH. i know! scary, right? i certainly couldn't think of a better example of cartoonish villainy -- honestly, who in good faith could name his album "Sax on the Beach"? i mean really -- and thus, some threatening context was born.
i hope you like it, lon! i hate taking credit for other people's creativity, so i try not to make a habit of posting characters that aren't my own... but i would rather spare you the horror of featuring john tesh's visage in your gallery. if there is a price, let me be the one to pay it. :]
(actually, i don't feel all that strongly one way or the other about john tesh. were you guys aware that he wrote the theme song for the NBA on NBC? i had no idea!)
