Welcome back to another Gun Day Sunday! I really seem to be wanting to get hair down in my drawings lately. Drawing it and coloring it. Here she is with her Sig-Sauer Spear LT in 5.56! Absolutely awesome rifle with a price tag to make many turn away (sadly). This hobby is a money sink. But, some choices make it a faster, deeper, harder money sink than others.
As always, thank you for stopping by and checking out Gun Day Sunday! Feel free to leave a comment on what you like (or dislike) about my content.

Ooo You know I think you're the first artist I've seen draw the Sig-Sauer Spear.
Looks a lot more fun to draw with this perspective.
And yeah the hobby really is a money sink... I want a one of those Beretta 92Xs but even at its pretty cheap starting price is out of my range. Actually even the regular 92FS are only about a hundred dollars cheaper and I can't afford that either.
Probably because with my income my fun money is about 20 bucks each month.

I thought about drawing a SIG Spear (the actual 6.8mm one) but decided on the LT because no one in their right mind would think to get into the 6.8x51 game right now. AR mags and ammo is still king.
Oh hell, I know that feeling. Beretta ANYTHING is just nice but they know it and put up a price tag to pretty much gatekeep. But damn, do I want an A300 Ultima Patrol. LOL

Actually, it might be just where I'm looking at for handguns, but 800 bucks for something brand new is really good even by my cheapcake standard.
Though you're right they don't really seem to lower prices by much, again the FS varient still about 100 more than a glock right about now. Which is like high end middle ground.
Seems like their shotgun is the same average sale price seems to go for about 1000, compared to winchester shotguns being about 100 bucks extra on average.
Then again the thing I want way more than the A300 Ultima Patrol is the CZ Bren 2, and that's going for about 2000 right now if you're lucky. And that's considering you live an area that has one, as they haven't really shipped it in mass yet and it seems you can't really order it directly. Because you know, new, and current in Czech.
Although to be fair, like I said, I don't have a lot of money for fun stuff. And right now I need to save to resupply on 7.62x39, since I've shot through all the ammo I'm sure existed around since the cold war. Which.... yeah, The Ukraine war thing is really making that hard to find a cheap price for that right now.

The CZ Bren 2 MS is one that I've tried and it is truly a treat. But the only CZ I own is a Pre-B Post-Soviet transitional model CZ-75 with a worn mag spring and I don't see myself getting any other CZ things for a while because of the prices these days.
Yeah, the days of cheap steel cased are in the pits now and I am not happy about it either. The amount of money that I have to spend to do any training is painful. I've kinda become a pure PCC person using the cheapest 9mm reloads I can get my hands on like some addict because even .223 is not the price it used to be. sigh

Aw man, you tried a CZ Bren? Now I'm really jealous! Seriously, I really really want to try that thing.
Also because I found something in between posting my reply, right now it seems like the site "CheaperThanDirt" has decent price IF you're okay buying in bulk. About $250 for 600 rounds.
I, or rather my dad since it was for a graduation gift, bought from the site before for the SKS stock to remove that nightmare that was on it originally (Although to do that we had to Russian style engineering to make it happen, so that's a problem for future me), shipped as well as its served. However it was the only thing we bought and haven't tried their ammo, and I'm not quite at the 250 mark in my fun money, so I can't vouch if it'll be a good deal or if the ammo is a scam. Mostly mentioning this since if I remember correctly you enjoy more AK style rifles, not sure how many civilian ones are in 7.62 or if you own one, but I thought it was worth informing you if you get an kalashnikov itch any time soon.

Yes, I do love me a Kalash. I don't own a rifle in 7.62x39 but I have more than my fair share of firing one with my friend's WASR and brother's SLR-107R. We've shot the SLR-107R so much that the action is as smooth as buttered glass. I have been eyeing a WASR-UF for a while but I have my heart set on either a Mini Beryl or a WBP Mini Jack in 5.56. My brother's SLR-106FR (he has two Arsenals) convinced me into loving 5.56 AKs. I'm still going to look into the 7.62x39 that you mentioned though just because we do like to feed our more classic AKs when we can.
