Hey, all! It's been a while since I've shown this guy, hasn't it? Well, I've done an updated redesign of the old frog sage of Cascade Isle, Chang-Shi!

A cross between the “wise sage” and “grumpy old man” archetypes, Chang-Shi has a very surly and curmudgeonly disposition—he’s very sarcastic, always seems to be complaining about something he doesn’t like, and prefers to be left alone. Some people wonder why he’s so grumpy all the time. Some theorize that it’s because no one ever seems to actually listen to him until it’s too late. He likes to think that he knows everything and that all of his opinions are right, but of course, this isn’t the case. Being the old frog that he is, he’s randomly forgetful and prone to leaving out important bits of information. He often yearns for older, simpler times and has a great amount of distrust toward anything new or modern, especially technology.

Chang-Shi isn’t all grousing and grumping, however; he can be just as benevolent and heroic as Xavier and Aaron in some situations, and he’s not above praising others if he feels they deserve it. And as much as he likes to think that he’s always right, he’s not completely consumed by his ego and will (begrudgingly) admit to being wrong or making a mistake whenever it happens.
