Hubert the lion has a moment of species confusion as he tends to that nagging hard-to-reach itch

In my almost 4 years of watching lions I have never seen one scratch itself like this!

Oh man, I WISH I got paid to do this. All of my photography work as of right now is just for fun and for my own portfolio, but there's nothing better than being paid to do what you love! maybe someday.

Actually, I've seen lions and a few other big cats do this on a few rare occasions, though I agree, the 'standing itch' is pretty rare, and looks incredibly awkward yet somehow adorable

I have seen lions do it before. In fact, I have seen HORSES do that! When you have four legs and an itch you gotta do what you gotta do.
