Hehe. I haven't been following Parkour politics much, so it wasn't until recently that I learned there had been a break between free-running and Parkour schools of thought :P. I've always favoured Parkour more, though, but free-running is certainly very fun to watch and fun to do.
Important to keep them separate in your head, though. It's like the difference between Wushu and Krav Maga. Wushu looks awesome, is definitely a very intense discipline that requires tons of skill, and can teach you how to fight very well, but if you're in a fight with some random guy, kneeing the guy in the head and gouging out his eyes is probably more effective than doing a 4280482 degree flip and kicking him in the head.

Good to see new art of yours! It had been a while ^^ Good piece of art too, I had missed seeing cheetahs that look like actual cheetahs :D
The explanation was very interesting and illustrating, too. Thank you! When I saw the picture I instantly thought about 'free running', but it seems this is a different discipline. I'll have to look up the differences.

It's only been a week since my last upload, I thought! Or... something like that. Hehe. It's really happy having people enjoy your stuff though! Thanks!!! And thanks for actually reading all my babbling ;)
Free running and Parkour are definitely related. The difference is mostly in emphasis and philosophy. In free running, the idea is to move from point A to B in the most elegant, flowing fashion possible. You want it to look nice. In parkour, the idea is to get from A to B with as little energy as possible, and as fast as possible, regardless of whether or not it looks fancy (although usually it looks nice and fluid anyway, since nice and fluid is usually efficient).
Parkour gives up the flair for speed and efficiency. In a sense, parkour is more of a survival skill more than acrobatics. *shrugs*

Yeah, maybe it was just a week, but I dunno, it seemed more ^^ And maybe I was just bad accostumed to see something of yours every 2 or 3 days, and I dunno.. I just missed it! ;D
As for the free-running vs Parkour further explanation, thanks a lot! I was going to look it up, but in the end, I didn't! :D I'm lazy to hell (what cat isn't?), so I'm really grateful you satisfied my curiosity again ^^
Waitin' for the kitty's day #4 ^^

Yeah, there is a difference in Parkour and Free Running. I usually Parkour (hardly any places to where I am) D: But I am getting better, I can already wall run and do all the vaults, jumps and most of the reverses. Right now, im practicing with my cousin and we will probably go on to bigger stuff!
