IT'S OFFICIAL
The Lion King on Broadway style is making a comeback at Furry Weekend Atlanta. (the last one: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4054464/)
Why? Simply put, professional quality make-up. 8D That, and it seemed to be well received last I wore it. :U
Here's a bit of a breakdown:
-Orange and Beige shadow colors on the face to make a warmer, more African Savannah feel.
-White dots along the underside of the eye. White paint is used as the color of peace in various tribal cultures. PEACE IS AWESOME YEEEAH
-Light yellow Kryolan grease paint outlining my face like a canvas. This was inspired by Nala's make-up on Broadway : (http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Heidi+Klum+Keisha+Cole+Visit+Lion+King+Broadway+H09oKGCK6Iyl.jpg)
-Gold and bronze Ben Nye Face Paint used to make a Sun on my cheek. Inspired by the beautiful sunset most often associated with The Lion King.
-Eyebrows touched up and shaped with black Ben Nye Face Paint to emphasize the dark Meerkat eyes (that, and I draw Naoki's eyebrows big and fluffy). My sockets are filled in with brown eyeshadow instead of black because Naoki's sockets are brown and black would have made my eyes a lot harder to see. My eyes are also touched up with a bit of black eyeliner to make the eyes pop against the warm Orange/Beige foundation.
-Added black under my nose for a more animal feel. I may keep it, I may not. Tell me what you think.
-I topped it off with a shiny, dark, almost rusty pink lipcolor. It's feminine and the pink looks more natural against the Orange/Beige than a red color.
I don't have any white cream eyeliner at the moment, but when I do get some I will line my waterline and a bit under my eyes to make my eyes wider and more animated. Maybe I'll make some ears along with it. o: Shouldn't be too hard.
YUP. Don't know which of you cared to read through all of that. :T Oh well.
ENJOY! I'll see you at FWA! :D
