I've been on both sides of this.

I posed for a class once years ago, and y'know what? It sucks. Your joints lock up, your limbs ache and you have to constantly stave off accidentally sexy thoughts.

Last semester in my life drawing class, we had three models. Two brilliant female ones who did a great job, and one older guy who, apparently, does this -quite- often (I work in a gallery/art school). He was...limber. He had -great- poses. But the undeniable factor of "old guy's balls" would NOT leave the classroom. It was palpable. But y'know what the worst part was?

He brought a boombox with him and it played "Chariots of Fire" and other similar epic symphonic numbers.

I nearly had to take a bite out of my drawing board to keep myself from cracking up. HNNNNGH.

That last guy sounds amazing.
I would like one of him in my art class, please :B

I always wondered if any of the groups I've posed for were disappointed that they didn't have a hot female model. Then again, considering that the first group I ever posed for was mostly composed of old ladies, perhaps not. >.>

Personally, I prefer a model who can hold an interesting pose to one that just looks pretty :}

Yeah, I always thought that was supposed to be the idea, myself. I know some art students feel otherwise, though. ;p
