Last year we visited the summit of the Binna Burra bushfires back in 2020 where the historic lodges burnt down. It was amazing to see the resilience of the forest and the gums still standing after so many were turned to ash. It was an ethereal experience at dusk when the clouds parted but the highwinds did not let up. Fog rolled over the lower mountains across the range, it is a place I will paint again.
