Your attention is grabbed by the howls echoing on the silver-lit path home, sending shivers up your spine. Were those dogs? Coyotes? Or something much deadlier?
Ever since you had been injured by that large animal a few days ago, you had been extra wary when it came to walking home late at night. Though the damage appeared to be largely superficial, the fact that it could have been so much worse was enough to bead your forehead with fearful sweat. At least, that's what you thought it was. You had not been feeling quite yourself since the attack and the symptoms had only progressed as you tried to wrestle with the tasks of daily life.
If anything bouts of bad luck just seemed to follow you wherever you went. From cutting your tongue on a sharp tooth while brushing to being forced to endure an unusual level of bad smells surrounding your office and home.
It was honestly getting tiresome and you hoped that things would return to normal soon. Having to put up with everything while you were sick was just not fair!
You shivered again. The feeling of crawling bumps racing up and down your spine.
You were almost home. Just a little bit further and you could rest in a hot bath and try to imagine the day away. Just concentrate on taking one step in front of the other.
...oh gosh the moon looks rather nice tonight. You couldn't help but stare at it for a moment too long. Then two moments. Then three.
Maybe it wouldn't hurt to slow down a little bit. Appreciate the scenery more.
That's what your friend said, right? Just slow down and smell the... the moonlight.
...
Hehehe your whole body tingled. The rays of the moon felt rather nice against your skin.
You needed to feel more of it.
Taking a clawed hand, you began to tear at the clothing covering you. What was decency compared to this euphoria you were feeling?
Snuffling at an itch in your nose, you blinked your spiraling red eyes with some confusion. Had your nose always stuck out that much? It looked almost like something that belonged on a dog.
Hehe, you grinned, that's okay. It wasn't important. Was was important is to feel more of that delicious moonlight!
Nubby tail wagging, you continued to tear at your shirt and pants, each strip of cloth torn revealing red and white fur.
Oh that's rather silly! You didn't have that before! What else was new?!
Grinning with a large cackle you can feel your shoes being reduced to rubber scraps as your clawed hind paws peek out from their prison.
This was great! Kicking them off you could feel the cool earth underneath your paws and you could not help but feel a need to explode into a run.
Thick mane and folded ears flopping against your head, you ran and ran feeling the exhilaration that your body was going through.
"Awooooo! Lycanroc!"
Sharing in a transformative curse has never been so much fun! I'll admit, the Lycanrocs are neat. Not a go-to for me when it comes to transformation subjects but I can certainly appreciate their aesthetic. Midnight especially seems to have captured a lot of people's attention and for good reason. It's such a striking and mischievous design somewhat reminiscent of the classic werewolf. It's really hard not to like it!
