What is fire if not a dance? Its movements curling back and forth in a gyrating procession of wild passion and predatory pounce. A flickering promise of what could be.

And its secret is hardly unknown. It seeks to expand, to grow into a show that is truly hard to behold by all but the most determined or foolish.

It will rage in a cymbalic clash of crescendos and equally creeping skulks. The sweat of its efforts cast off to create dances of their own. Entire regions laid bare by their performance.

But if kept low and manageable, it can be the tail tip of a fox wagging in a happy existence. A friend of light and warmth casting a shield against darkness itself.

So just imagine what nine tails could do...

Fire has always been a curious phenomenon to me. Unique in its capacity for both destruction and creation, it's a remarkable element that is often prescribed as simply being. Yet, I think we forget how easy it can be to lose it. Whether in existence or control it does not matter.

So to be a creature born of the flames and dancing its unknown beat. I think that would be special. A natural instinct that one cannot quite state why. Only that it needs to be done. Certainly makes me wonder what the results would be.

Heh... flickering flames indeed.
