Astounding how productive one can become, if the nights are so hot, that sleep is allmost impossible...
Dialogues:
Voolvif Monn: *Thanks to the Force...* - Where... am I? What has happened?
Droid PD-28: You are aboard the starship of my master, Master Voolvif Monn. And brought to safety.
Voolvif Monn: Who are you, little droid?
PD-28: I am pilot droid PD-28. I am glad to see you activated and functioning. I will summon my master right away.
Some late 80s and early 90s kids maybe will remember this little droid from the special episode "Battle for the Sunstar" in the 1986 cartoon series "The Ewoks"

I pray that Voolvif joins Howling Cerberus and they end up becoming a new rebel cell. To a stormtrooper, crew of shistavanen is scary enough, now imagine seeing a Jedi among them.
Of course, this would also draw the attention of inquisitors and Vader.
I will cross my fingers and hope for the best.
Also snuggling up against a shistavanen in bed must be a luxury that only a few lucky folk get to experience.

I loved this cartoon as a kid.
I had seen it, before I even knew, what Star Wars actually was. And as I saw Return of the Jedi for the first time, I laughed so hard, as they encountered the Ewoks for the first time.
It was cool and adorable, how all things came together and unsolved questions from the cartoon show were answered.
I still can recomment it. Much better series then 80% of what is broadcasted nowadays.

From the eyes closed in panel two, transitioning to half open in panel three and clearly alert and able to focus in panel four, that's a good sign of recovery for Voolvif that he can remain conscious even if he'll likely need time to recover his strength and still have some more healing time given the bandage still on his shoulder.
As with the Benathy inclusion in this comic, another lovely surprise with PD-28 making his entrance and also an assurance that Voolvif Monn is indeed out of danger. After all PD-28's master had taught him to help others so they may one day help you in return, altruism though with an understanding of it being repaid in kind at some point and a philosophy perhaps that might be considered more reason for trust by a Shistavanen,

I allways loved this episode in the Ewoks cartoon series, where they payed an homage to Star Wars. I knew this episode, before I even knew about Star War, so it was a more then a lovely surprise, to learn about the how and why and how all those things were meant to be put together.
I also plan to write the story that way, that PD-28 follow the way of fate, that will lead him to the affairs on Endor.

So we see the stories of differing individuals interweaving and follow the threads as part of the greater tapestry, to explore and fill in some of the gaps of the wider Star Wars universe.
On another thought, Voolvif had fought alongside his 'pack' against droids for the best part of three years and now with them having so suddenly turned upon him, it was a faithful droid in R-7 who rescued him and now a friendly droid in the form of PD-28 whom was also one of his rescuers, perhaps something Voolvif will find a little ironic or just one of those twists of fate in the workings of the Force.

Exactly. There are more such homages to appear, be it as some hidden easter eggs or obvious references towards other media such as comics, tv shows, or the movies. And there I do not care if it is canon or not, for as far as I am concerned, my personal star wars canon goes that time line, before Disney took over control.
And my comic is actually just a fan fiction after all, so I take my own liberties here^^.
Yes, you noticed the little irony I tried to hide into this scenario. Most impressive.^^

Nein, den habe ich mir nicht ausgedacht. PD-28 kam in der Episode "Kampf um den Sonnenstern" in der 1986er Zeichentrickserie "Die Ewoks" vor.
