Although once heavily rumored, Shreem were thought long ago to have produce in a manner relativley similair to human being. it was found however that Shreem are devoid of external reproductive organs to begin with. By nature Shreem are hermaphrodites in the regards any Shreem can pregnate and be impregnated by each individual Shreem but this process is not as forward as it would seem.
On the third right tip of a Shreem's claws are a series of microscopically thin skin layers. Tightly wound beneath the toughest muscle of this tip like an egg sack are the pronimscule glands which appear like thin veins. Due to the lack of actual sense of smell Shreem instead search out possible mates by touching tip to tip with seperate claws releasing a series of chemicals filtered between one another. If a potential mate is picked the internal pronimscule glands burst in a matter of seconds from the skin to join with the seperate glands at which point both Shreem exchange reproductive cells.
In a matter of no less than 8 weeks after impregnation lumps in relative groups begin to swell on the body especially towards the thighs and arms of the individual Shreem. After 12 weeks they appear as large swollen balls which eventually detach from the body producing Shreem pups known as " Neerp " named after their underdevloped screech often sounding as Neerp. Most Shreem produce a series of 15 or more Neerps and are known to reproduce more than 12 times in a single lifetime.
Neerps are relatively the underdeveloped form of Shreem often weak and nearly defenseless with a large apetite. During this transformation which can in some cases process around 4 months the Neerp eventually produce a fine layer of salvia which encoats them in a mannor similair to the Tamfreyon ( gohnar species ). Once fully covered the Neerp will remain in this state for another 3-4 months undergoing continuous changes forming a fuller body and it's eventual main defenses and appearance as Shreem.
