Unsure about the naming pattern yet.
Want to rig it fully so animators may have fun with it.
Inspired by Warhammer's bolter.

Name patterns can be applied based on a series of desitions or patterns what lead into the idea of the weapon/equipment in the world where they belongs, and usually can be used IRL situation what lead into the name of the gun, names can relate usually or sites or characters or "Situations"
think on the Avtomat Kalashnikova mod. 1947 or AK-47 had its name based on the Role and Creator and year or inventory nomenclature of such nation
or just funtions like "Antitank Granade launcher" what RPG stands in russian (that is why the RPG-2 its a hand granade and the RPG-7 are the same "series" cuz both fits on the same role despite one be a granade and another an rocket
Same for
Degtyaryov DP-27, garand .30 Rifle (also know as M1) and a very large ETC
Now i see you used the JDJ .950 but what make it a Rifle its basically a caliber and this is basically an automatic cannon so its redundant called it Heavy rifle
So go something like
HAMAC-24 (Handheld Anti Material Auto Cannon) and the 24 what stands for mm of the bullet of the .950 and 24 "twentyfour" its more "Easy" to spell than "Ninehundredfifty"

Another detail its the definition of "Rifle" its means its portable but if you call it "Heavy" its means its not portable or hand held, that is why things as heavy like Light Machine guns enter in the category on naming "Light" a role what its the fixed sustained fire, and the name of "heavy machine gun stands for the caliber and not for its portability cuz machineguns are Fixed by definition,
Same goes for cannons, anything UP to 20mm and with automatic cycling its an Auto Cannon, so hence the name
sorry for be dense but i hope it helps
