Once a member of a wetworks special forces unit trained to battle the paranormal, supernatural, and things born of Mad Science, after numerous tours of duty and seeing a great deal of the horrors of the world Lament was given an honorable discharge. His skillset was useless to much besides guard duty and being a security consultant, though both still leave him feeling hollow and worthless. Then came Valor, his Entity. Drawn to Lament's bravery and courage that helped him face so many unspeakable things in the dark places of the world, even when so many friends fell, the two formed a strong connection and became a team.
Now under his chosen mantle, Lament puts forth his deadly skillset to battle the wicked things in the world once more, while between Valor and excellent therapy his PTSD is steadily treated. He wears a blindfold in battle to protect himself from hypnosis and other effects relying on him seeing them, making use of his mastery of Omni-Vision and training to guide him through battle.
