The air in the lab was harsh and thick as the smoke slowly cleared. Fear ran ramp through the young scientist's mind as she looked around the smoking lab. In truth it had exploded once before and almost cost her the very life she had been born with. The extremely scared left hand that was missing a finger would not let her forget that any day soon. She blinked her bright amber eyes several times as she swatted at the smoke searching desperately for the vent switch. Her scared hand finally found the wall and it took only a moment to hit the switch to clear the room of all the blasted smoke.

Once the smoke was clear she spotted a pile of wild multi colored fur curled up on the lab table she had just been standing at. "What the" she said as she walked to the table. Using one of her spider legs the young irken scientist poked the fur ball then almost jumped out of her skin when the creature sprang to life at the touch. Backing away all the young irken could do was watch as the bi-petaled being of multi colored fur stood. Franticly she begin to think of all the animals she mixed with the human's DNA to make this creature. She pulled up 5 then went pale as she named them to herself. Tiger, wolf, leopard, cheetah, and hyena. With the exception of the hyena DNA all the animals were killers and could kill her without a second thought.

In a state of fear she had never felt before the young irken scientist shivered as she fell to the floor wide eyed as the creature walked over to her. A pair bright green human eyes looked down at her with a mix of confusion and terror. That made Dreath freeze and her entire expression change. The creature was scared of her. She was in fear for her life and yet the one thing that could kill her backed away at every movement she made. Sorrow hung to the irken girls very being as she stood and removed her lab coat reviling the normal grade irken invader outfit she wore. The experiment went doe eyed and backed away whimpering. "Please don't be frightened" she said as she inched closer to the creature.

It responded by flashing fangs and un sheathing its claws. Dreath went pale once more and dropped her lab coat as her hand trembled to much to hold onto it anymore. The experiment looked at the trembling hand and dropped coat then went doe eyed as it sputtered out "D-did I c-cause you t-to drop t-that" Dreath went wide eyed as the experiment dropped down with its hands over its ears trembling. "You can speak" she asked the creature. "Y-yes" came it's reply. Dreath smiled and kneeled down and picked her coat up as she looked at the creature. "Don't be afraid of me" She pleaded with the creature "I don't like seeing things fear me unless a reason is truly needed."

Neon ears perked as the creature looked up. The two looked at each other for a moment more before the creature stood. Standing as well Dreath offered the male cat thing her coat "I'm Dreath by the way" the cat thing nodded and pulled the coat on as he said "I don't remember my name." Dreath sighed and looked at the chart "Well I have you labeled as experiment 9-7834 but that is a mouthful. What do you want your name to be?" The creature thought for a moment then said "Dex.....Ter......Eh?"

Shrugging Dreath nodded "Dextereh it is." With that she turned and walked out of the lab "Come on then Dex. We need to find you some clothes."
