These malicious trickster youkai are commonly mistaken by the everyday observer for the noble and powerful Kitsune.
Make no mistake, they do it on purpose, even splitting their thick lizard-like tail in an attempt to further mimic the legendary foxes.
Not all Kitsune are benevolent, but many of them are at least neutral if left alone and their territories respected.
Don't expect to be able to parlay with these demons.
They are greedy and gluttonous and will steal from and devour any traveler that falls for they trickery.
