Henry "Snipes" Snipley is an anthropomorphic magpie and Chanticleer Bluth's oldest friend. The two of them met when Henry's family moved to Nashville in 1994 (1939 Cartoonia Time). They were close friends from that point onward, and even attended school together. The two of them loved to goof off and cause trouble on the farm, and Henry told Chanticleer stories about his former life in Chicago. Henry's mischievous behavior and snarky attitude earned him the nickname of "Snipes". Henry was there for Chanticleer when his surrogate mother Mary died in 1947, and again when Chanticleer's surrogate father Richard died in 1950. In March 1955, when Chanticleer was tricked into thinking his crowing didn't raise the sun after being woken up before a sliver of the sun's light could wake him up, Snipes initially dismissed Chanticleer as a fraud and was one of the people who laughed him off his own farm. However, after the sun failed to rise again and a heavy rain refused to dissipate, Snipes realized how the cartoon roosters' symbiotic relationship with stars worked, and set out to find his friend in downtown Nashville.

Following the defeat of the Disney creation known as the Grand Duke of Owls and Chanticleer's subsequent marriage to Goldie, Snipes found a job at a car dealership downtown and moved off the farm, much to Chanticleer's disappointment. However, after the Battle of Cartoonia, Snipes followed his friend to Coruscant to visit him at his new apartment. Snipes was shocked at the glitz and glamor of Coruscant, as it was the biggest city he had ever seen. Chanticleer was able to introduce Snipes to his new friend Anakin Skywalker, his apprentice Ahsoka, and Senator Padme Amidala of Naboo. Though it was great to see Chanticleer again, Snipes returned to Cartoonia to help clean up the damage there, regularly writing to Chanticleer as he fought the Disney Corporation across the galaxy. Following Chanticleer's return to Cartoonia, the two remained friends, and saw each other more often.
