Ahutoris believed that he could rid the demonic mask of Kurai's essence, releasing the wolf's soul into the afterlife where he would rest in piece. The jackal that resided over the souls of the passed was wrong, for when he put upon the wolf's mask, he felt his eyes pulsate until they were full of purple, and the white irises of the beast incarnate came back to life. He struggled against the powerful demonic overlord that had yet to be succeeded in the nether's depths, and of whom contorted the bones within his furry flesh to bring forth his skeletal armor. The jackal's power clashed with the powerful energy of the monster as they vied for control, leading him upon his knees as the dragonoid spines that were Kurai's wings tore forth from his flesh. The king would rise once more, and use the new power of a god to wreak havoc greater than he had ever before.
