Well thanks to
Drayk I've now got a new term for me and I'm frickin' owning it! Fishsquid or Squidfish. Same thing really. XD
Alright now to the pic... the horribly drawing reference pic... I really should stick to stick-figures... anyways.
Diagram 1.
This shows a rough placement of where the six tentacles will sprout from on my fursona's species. Two around the shoulder blade, two mid back besides his dorsal fin and two more right above his rump around his lower back. They can be almost completely retracted leaving only small nubs where they'd pop out from.
Diagram 2.
This is a standard tentacle. They are his lower four tentacles. They're simple, with no spade at all. Each tentacle has suction cups on the bottom of it which are used to grab and such.
Diagram 3.
These are the upper two tentacles from his shoulders... they have a widened spade at the end... for better grip and such. They also have the most numerous suction cups which also hold a wonderful secret!
Diagram 4.
Here we have a very simple drawing of their suction cups. Now most of them are like the upper two... two ringlets of muscle that contract and expand to create a suction. The last two are the same like the upper two... but they have a retractable circular barb that springs out of very well hidden slits, which I'll draw next a more detailed view... They act kinda like how the venom delivery system on a jelly fish does... except he can spring those barbs at will, as fast or slow as he wants.
