Washuu collects a lot of things in her quest to know everything. One day, Princess Ayeka was going through some of her stuff and came across an old oil lamp. When Ayeka asked about it, Washuu said it was supposedly a magic lamp, but with a curse - the first person who attempted to use it would become a genie and be trapped in it. The greatest genius in the universe didn't ask why Ayeka would want to borrow such a thing. She already had a good idea and was curious to see what would happen.
Later, Ayeka made a point of bragging about her magic lamp to Ryoko, knowing full well that Ryoko would respond by stealing it and trying to use it. This is exactly what happened and Ryoko found herself bound the lamp and forced to grant the wishes of the person who held it. Oh, Ayeka thought she had finally gotten one over on her rival and was so happy to force Ryoko to get her hooked up with Tenchi. She was so confident she'd already won that she wasn't too careful about the wording of her wish. After a bit of "clarifying" and some subtle suggestion, Ryoko managed to get a loophole in Ayeka's wish.
Ayeka, as you might have guessed, was none to happy to find herself turned into a camel. But that's what you get when you aren't careful with genies - even new ones!
