I remember my first hardcore world. I had a fortress with obsidian walls surrounding it, torches everywhere, all enchanted diamond gear, a dog, a cat and a few horses. I went out exploring and got lost, so I ran up a hill and spotted my fortress in the distance and sprinted to it
only to fall into a ravine full of lava...
