Rude would be asking about my 'spooge' color or telling me to see a doctor.
I was just making a mature rated comment that did not use the word 'cum' or 'sperm'. Which would have been HORRIBLE rude of me if I had and would have been a put down to some wonderful work in progress piece. And Spoogy, refers to a texture and appearance SIMILARITY, The 'Y' on the end of the word making it comparative, not 'is'. I did not say, 'it looks like spooge' I said 'It looks spoogy'. Big difference.

I personally thought it was a bit of an off-putting comment personally. :/ Just because you used "Spoogy" as the adjective. It just came across crude when read, almost offensive. Now, I could also be severely over-reacting as well. I just didn't personally find it appropriate, especially in conjunction to such obviously painstaking work being done. Does the latex look watery and admittedly quite weird at this stage? Yeah, well to me anyway. XD But I'm super happy to see it. :) I barely ever see WIP shots of latex, so I find it very interesting to look at. <3
Also, speaking as another female fur, and a pre-med student, technically girls also have "spooge". Just not in the literal definition of the word. But we do have a directly related substance. /end pointless med rant
Also to sum this up, I'm not looking to particularly rattle your cage. Just giving my 2 cents behind my comment. :3 I hold nothing against you, as I do hope you'd do the same.

A point of order: when one has "watery eyes," one has eyes which are wet or covered in water, not eyes which can be compared to water. When one has gooey hands, one has hands which are covered in goo, not hands which are similar to goo. When one has muddy boots, one has boots which are covered in mud, not boots which are similar to mud. The correct assumption based on the OVERWHELMINGLY more common usage is the one at which the rest of us appear to have arrived: that you were saying the mask is covered in spooge. It would require a small logical leap to instead assign your phrasing a comparative quality.
Also for future reference, "mature-rated" comments don't particularly belong on G-rated submissions; and "spooge," being a wholly equivalent pseudonym for male ejaculate, is not particularly less offensive than either of your proposed alternatives.
I realize you want not to have said anything untoward, but short of hiding your comment, at this point, apologies will get you more traction than attempting to retcon what you mistakenly said into respectability.

I do understand that what I said, may have been taken wrong. In no way did I intend to put the work down, its interesting and probably far out of my capabilities. And, I do apologize if it did sound rude of me.
As well, the word spooge is not an actual word, it is by definition an urban word. Meaning, there is not one exact definition of it to a point.
If you look it up, it does go into bodily fluids, but is also described as. An unidentified substance. Usually sticky or crusty.
I understand that to you, I may have said something wrong. And I apologize, especially to Beetlecat for in any way feeling insulted by what I said. I have apologized, and I am sorry. Now, please move on. End this conversation on an accepting tone, and do not drag this out any further.

Rebound 25. It's more expensive but easier (IMO) to mix (1:1) with less chance of catastrophic failure. Plus it's platinum cure which makes the resulting mold have a bit more longevity. Tin (mold max) also shrinks much more as it cures.
Rebound self-thickens more quickly but in a brush-on scenario you still need an additive thickener. I guess you could leave it in the pot for a while, but I have a tendency to forget about things ;D

Dirt clay. I'm not a fan of plasticines - I find them hard to work with.
Rebound 25 is silicone, not latex. And yes you can't use sulphur clays (ie cheap plasticine) because the silicone will not cure unless you seal the clay. You can find sulphur-free plasticine pretty easily at any fine art store.

I was just freaking out about how expensive it was... but it's actually a tiny bit cheaper, volume wise. since it's a 1:1 and you get 2 gallon buckets, vs mold max where it's a gallon bucket and about a pint of part B.... hmmmm
thi-vex has worked well for me as a thickener, and is dirt cheap :P
