Never requiring sleep.
Never requiring sustinence.
Never requiring a respite from her never ending job.
The dawn has long since passed but her work has bearly even begun.
The night has passed, and with it the land of Croc welcomes its new unwilling residents.
Her wings ensnare and entrap any who spark her interest. The velvetty texture of space is captured within her wings, the stars twinkle and shift as you gaze in awe at her. You try to move but she is enchanting and you dare not deny her siren call.
The stalker of men takes her slow strides towards you, unblinking in focus and determination. The freedom of the eternal night sky is what she offers to you and you accept. You do not need to tell her, for she already knows this is so. She envelopes you with her wings and allows your mind to fall into the blackness, the supernoval flare of energy blinding you temporarilly before the electric world you now inhabit blinks into life.
With your new metallic form complete she takes to the skies once more. For the days has just begun. And you? You no longer interest her.
I had this concept for an alternate version soon after completing the former. And since I'm sick with cold and unmotivated to do a huge piece, but nevertheless willing to colour *something*, I decided to go for it now.
Her wings didn't, at first, come out that well. They looked *really* flat and uninteresting. I slapped another cloud filter layer on top to maybe add some border to the wings, but before then I messed with the colour. And holy crap they suddenly sprung to life o_o.
I tell you, about 90% of the good effects I do are down to fluke and random chance experimentations.
If I had *any* skill at animating at all, it would have been fun to make the stars move...or something. Well, until 3D photoshop art is invented, we can just dream =)
