I'm sporting a classical fantasy dragon body shape here -- like something out of an old animated movie or the original FF7. Big, but not excessively heavy or tall. I want to ride that line between chonky and fat fur, tall and macro, monster and friend. I think this image nails it! Also love me some tropical environments and coastlines. >^.=.^<

Yeah. They've done a lot of art for my friends. I got on their list a few years ago right before their life got disrupted. Hopefully the resumption of arts means they're in a better, more stable place now! I don't know the details of what's going on, but I wish them the best and am thrilled with how this turned out!
Yes, they're so annoying! Dragons have very long lifetimes so we get stuck dealing with this sort of confrontation over and over again. One millennia it's wooden boats carrying pirates and conquerors, the next it's large polluting or hunting ships. I just want to relax on the beach!
Pffft, you've always been all those things and more! What makes a great monster and friend is if you are fierce enough to defend those you care about and gentle enough to lower your guard and give the little friends tons of love and protection ^^. But I agree! This image is extremely stunning and gorgeous! Really captures you and your essence extraordinarily well! Your colors definitely make you for quite the stunning and beautiful dragon to see stomping along the coastlines! ^^
The thicker proportions were a big surprise for me. I expected Halybs to slim me down like how most higher level fantasy artists do. However, the initial sketches had the same large body proportions seen here. Really nice to see! Big, but not excessive....big like hurricane-proof actually!
