This is another item I did for the Mythopoeic Society, back in the day. It amused the editors enormously that I did the work in green. I knew full well that the art would be published in black and white, but working in green just seemed logical to me. I might have posted this earlier, but only in b/w.

Yeah, I saw that. I didn't like it at first, finding it way off topic as a historical film. But I liked it a little more on a second viewing, where I had to accept that it wasn't accurate in any way, but apparently trying to be more "mythical," sort of the way that a story teller in Tudor England might talk about "ye olden days" in the 1200s ... getting it all wrong and nt caring a fig as long as the audience is happy.
There was a version on ITV in the 80s that was performed entirely in blank verse. I've got that on DVD and I've been meaning to watch it again for a while.
It's also the basis for a story arc in Reinder Dijkhuis's webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan, which puts his own brand of Eurocomic spin on it.
