Well there was a bit of miscommunication when it came to this piece, their positions were meant to be switched, but it still works. Typically I think of Orlendr as fairly stoic, but during certain rare moments he opens up and shows his vulnerability. So this is a little unforeseen opportunity to further develop his character.
Orlendr is a skin shifter, capable of using magic to change shape, mostly to that of a wolf. His people are wildly distrusting of magic (referred to as “Insight” by his people) and those who possess the ability to use it are carefully watched and controlled. Magic is seen as more of a dangerous curse in their society, and the life of those inflicted with it is usually not an enviable one. He was always curious about magic and the pursuit of knowledge in general, so rather than submit to the control of his clan, he chose to live in exile and delve into the secrets and knowledge left behind by the people who once inhabited the Valley. A life of isolation is a cruel fate very few can endure without ill effect, and his isolation turned him wild, losing the ability to ever fully return to his natural human form. I imagine Fiadh to be, for the time being at least, his only companion, his one source of comfort when the isolation gets to be too much and the emotions come flooding in.

Even after a lil mistake, this priceless illustrated scene where the cheerful Fiadh kindly reassures an extremely sad and lonely wolf as Orlendr the very unfortunate skin shifter, i find right to say it turned out freaking awesome! So meaningful and touching, especially the heartmelting story behind this piece full of emotions deserves my eternal praise! You know, a lil mistake certain times can bring to life an even better, fantasticsome result! ✨💖✨
