Old art from 1976... that a fan spurred me to scan. Unfortunately, the original art was long ago sold, so the scan was only as good as the xeroxes I had, and one of them took a bit of air brushing to make presentable. The owners are Dorothy and Elliott Grassett, big fans of high fantasy like Tolkien and Lewis. The art was done for the Mythopoeic Society newsletter, and xeroxes were the only copies I had. Both of the Grassetts are probably long sense deceased, since they were middle-aged in the mid-70s. I rather regret I sold the art since it is unlikely I ever made more than a pittance for the work. The three illustrations were for the monthly organ of the Mythopoeic Society. For a year or two, the local chapter edited Mythlore and I knew most of the people in the group. I never joined myself, but volunteered to illustrate an article on the Lewis trilogy. Then there was an organizational coup of some sort, and the local chapter had their responsibility taken away from them. I never knew what it was about. I did at least two covers for the group while I was working for them, but my involvement ended with the coup.
