Wow Centra... This piece is awesome, especially for a 2.5hr speed-painting. I absolutely love the choice of lighting/light source and the composition. It has a real Alice-in-Wonderland feel too it with that checkerboard floor too. I guessed he was male from the rib-hip contour. :P Seems I was right. Bah, your art makes me want to draw moar hoomans. XD
May I suggest you find things to inspire you within your mandatory school-work? I've never had trouble doing so, but I've found that my classmates who did, consistently put out much better work than those who hadn't.

Thanks so much, hon! And yessss, you should draw more hoomanz. (Or heck, just post!) :D
I am trying to... I think the main problem is I don't draw much for my major, since I'm graphic design (taking a break and just watching old shows really helped out more than I thought it would, though). Recently I've discovered a way to make one project actually fun for me (infographics + research = <3), but for the mostpart I'm still in that "oh gawd what should I do for the final end-of-year project for all my classes" phase. XD

I do post! D: Nothing finished. But I posted sketches recently? X3 I'd like to try and have something more than a sketch up before the end of the weekend.
Oooh, so they have you drawing. ...wait, don't you guys draw when you sketch out ideas at least? And you draw/paint on here all the time! :P Infographics...? *blink* I'll have to look that one up later. XDD Gotcha. I never got those end-of-the-year projects. The senior thesis is really the first project where you choose all the parameters. At least for Illustration.

I know right? D: If I DO use Painter, I have to go back and forth between files and lay the base down in Photoshop first.
Even with high-end computers it doesn't seem to work well. :/ Two 2.66GHz processors *might* help, but I would assume my 2.8GHz one would work fine... and it doesn't. Lol! Painter basically ignores your graphics card and doesn't let the load ease up at all (on my Windows, it idles at like 30% CPU power at best... no idea on my Mac, but it can't be much better).
One thing's for sure—I'm never buying another Corel product unless they completely re-write the program. For $300 it should be lightning-fast, but I can hardly use it. :I

Gaaaah, there just aren't words to describe how much I love this. All the details in it are amazing, and your use of light and color are breathtaking. There's a real mood to this piece that I can't exactly put my finger on because I'm half-asleep, but this is without a doubt one of the most inspired pictures I've ever received.
Without a doubt, it's definitely my favorite picture of Molli I've gotten. Hell, it might even be my favorite commission in general. I really really love it. Thanks so so much. <3

Ahhhhh man it makes me so glad to hear that. I know some people don't really enjoy drawing characters like him with all the colors and the patterns and the OVERWHELMING GAY, so I'm REALLY glad you enjoyed it! I always love hearing an artist say they liked drawing my character, that makes it so much better!
I just thought of Alice Through the Looking Glass looking at this image. It might be the square floor, though...o_o; but that's just my mind's eye.
Anyway, very nice smoke effects around the glow sticks and the overall blending of this character with the shades...just amazing. I also love the background dancers, as though they were contributing to the glows of the main character's presence yet they're subtle enough to be...well, background pieces.
Also, always a good thing to break away from school every once in a while. Costume Designing can do that to a person as well, and there are just some days where drawing something other than people sounds fantastic.
Keep up the good work, but also keep up the happiness in your life when you can :3

Man, you give me some great comments! Always fun to read. :D
I've always loved checker floors, so it could be! I really need to read Through the Looking Glass at some point... it seems like a really interesting novel. XD And thank you! I'll try my best... life is a challenge, but that's what makes it fun... right? ;)
