Kurbon
The world slowly started to come into focus as Enkets ratty nose would wriggle and sniff. Food. His stomach growling helping to smack him awake as the scout slowly pushed his head off the pillow he didn't remember as he tried to slowly sit up. Brain still trying to remember what had happened and take in the new. But food. He could recognize that. Paw slapping the half empty plate he had been eating before his fingers managed to grab hold of it and pull it toward himself. It was some kind of preserved fruit. Apple or pear he couldn't really tell as those glowing red eyes were still pretty dim. But he didn't need to fully see to move them from plate to mouth. A bit of the juices from it splotching out of his maw onto the pillow below him as Enket used his other hand to rub over his eyes and face. Eyes gaining more of their normal glow as the room he was in came into more focus. As did the feeling of the blanket over his shoulders. An interior cavern. Two tables, one with food and one covered...Where was he? Eyes brightening up as he chewed on the fruit and slowly looked around. A memory was starting to come back but all he really remembered was carrying that book over rocks? The book?! Now looking around more worriedly as he tried to find the prize that wasn't in view.
Right when a snickering female-elf-thing walked into the room! Holding something coiled in her hands?! "Looky whose finally awake, the traveling toy." However much of that Enket processed as he flailed in the bench seat seemed to be enough for him to not want to be there. But his attempted escape was cut short as him trying to raise a foot over the bench only to stomp down on the blanket that had been over his shoulders. That he was holding onto with his head patting hand to have a shield. And the combination of both made him pull himself right over his own feet to fall down. Muzzle first into the soapy water bucket.
The elf-things laughs rang hollow in Enkets big ol ears as he spluttered and pushed himself out to find Mormel and the female-man-thing slave now standing next to the elf-thing. The females both laughing but Mormel just smiling as he nodded at Enkets soap covered from the shoulders up. Ratty jacket starting to get a clean at least as the Seer spoke up. "Welcome-welcome back to the waking world Enket," before pulling the large book out of one of his robe pockets which immediately made the other Skaven start to calm down as he sat down next to the bucket. Taking a few breaths to steady himself. Reaching over to pick up the dropped pear he could now see better as he took another bite.
"Thank-praise you Lord-Seer Sir," Enket said as he bowed his head between bites. "For allowing me to rest and eat in your base-lair."
"Such a loyal little rat." The Human would comment as Mormel was just beaming.
"As Skaven should be to the Order-Brotherhood. But we've been over this before Enket. Titles and the like are for official-proper meetings and dealings. Not when it us just us-us." Reaching to both sides to give those mostly exposed female butts a pat. "But still - the praise is good-nice." Using his hands on those booties to push the females forward as they moved to Enkets side. The scout initially scooting backwards away from them but only ended up bumping his back against the bench he had been formally sleeping on as Mormel continued. "But you worked hard for me-me. So the rest and eating is only fair." The book being slipped back into his pocket. "And the hard-tough work has made you pretty dirty. And injured. So relax-calm!" A pipe being removed from the same pocket as a flick of Mormels fingers soon had that lit with a bright green flame as it was soon resting in his teeth. "You deserve a cleaning. And bandaging." A puff of smoke sliding out from between his teeth on the other side of his mouth as he plopped himself down on some cushions to watch.
While Seers were of course always right, even more so to the normal rank and file Clanrats, Enket didn't seem to agree as he dropped the mostly eaten pear and kept glancing from one female to the next. His damp face flicking a few droplets as he tried to back up. But the bench was pretty hefty and there was nowhere to go as that bucket was pulled over and both women got a brush each! The bandaging would come after as the trapped rats breaths increased as he tried to kick out at the elf! But that ankle was quickly and easily snatched! Held tight as the other hand quickly unwound the jacket fragment and leaf bandage so it wouldn't be in the way. Before the soapy brush was applied right to the bottom of Enkets foot. His breath caught in his throat as rather than a breath it was a clenched teeth laugh. The fibers of that good brush scrubbing up and down his foot as the grime from the mission, and even some from the last mission Enket hadn't cleaned too well after his post Kritch-maw bath, coming off as well. Lightly cleaning around the cut but compared to the arm slice it was pretty minor. And clearly it was a feeling he was not used too as those toes flexed and foot pulled against the elf holding him! But she had a very strong grip and just kept scrubbing. Enket trying to keep his mouth shut and reach for her to stop this devilry before his wrist was snatched by the man-thing! And his open palm getting a brush slapped against it as she started to scrub too.
Those Seer horns shaking gently as Mormel chuckled at the scene. An excellent pre-amble to his fun later. And cleanliness was important after all. Another happy puff as those giggles and laughs started to sneak from between Enkets clenched teeth. The boy would hopefully relax soon enough to not wear himself out. But then again - that would be helpful too.
Enkets tail would be kinking and flicking from side to side as the scrubs continued. The she-things had very strong grips to do this work but Enket didn't seem to process that fact. As he was still squirming and trying to pull away. It was only soapy water but to the dweller of the under empire it seemed to be much worse! But his complaints were soon replaced by just laughing as those hairless feet and hands were scrubbed bottom and top. The toes and fingers even getting some scrubbins. The attempted clenching of them just made cleaning the outside of them easier before the brush was hooked under to get his palms and balls of his feet. The bucket dunked in for more water as the gals worked. But the laughing and attempts to pull himself free of their grip soon had the effect of making Enket struggling for breath as he gasped at nothing. The two females using the time of weakness to put Enkets limbs back down. The Elf grabbing the waist of his pants as the Human grabbed his collar. Both pulling in opposite directions as the breathless ratman soon found himself bare furred before the two females. And Mormel - his tail being pulled the last bit of the way out of the hole in his pants for it. Enket trying to cover himself and get his breath back as the brushes were resoaped. The floor getting pretty water and soap covered but the three doing the cleaning and supervising didn't seem to mind. The brushes starting to be reapplied but thankfully for Enket his hands and feet were cleaned now so now they were brushing along his limbs down toward his torso. The scout looking up at Mormel - perhaps seeking help - but the Seer was just puffing away as he watched.
"Keep up the good work-clean girls." He would give in response to the Gilms worried look. And so his fate was sealed. Enket doing what he could to try and sit still and twitch less but it was still a very weird feeling. And it being two no-furs doing it to him was...how was it? Hissing as his wounded arm was scrubbed before his mind returned to turning. Like a Doomwheel that needed a service. The two women pleased that he had stopped trying to stop him as the now pretty limp arms were lifted up to get at his sides better. How was it? What was happening? Enket looking at his now clean feet as his arms were rested back against his side as his shoulders and stomach were scrubbed. Sure he saw No-furs often due to his work for Gilm, and the Under Empire on the whole, hells even worked with them. Damn Belrod. Traitor scum! He hoped that his eyes and tongue would be gnaw-eaten right out of his head! Before an epp jolted Enket from that thought as his waist was scrubbed. The women not seeming to care about it as they even pulled him forward to scrub over his haunches. Enkets head now close to the ground as he looked up at Mormel who was just refilling his pipe as their red eyes met. Making the Seer pick at Enkets brain. "What thought-feelings are you thinking now Enket mmm?"
Enket looking at the ground as his tail flicked gently being cleaned to try and gather his thoughts before he looked back up at Mormel. "How...humm...how big-wide the world is." The Seer waving his hand in a continue gesture so Enket tried to expand on the idea. "This-this is just entirely new to me," licking his teeth a little as he tried to think of how best to phrase what he was thinking. Mormel just loving his confusion it seemed as the puffing continued. "Life in Blight-home is often so eyes open-wide all the time. Danger-stabbing. Eshin-watched. But here things are...slower-nicer?" Mormel nodding in response as he patted the Skaul symbol on his robe.
"It is! So nice of you to notice-see. But you do seem to operate-work mainly around the Southern man-thing lands and Bretonnia?" Enket nodding in response before he added in.
"And Dwarf-thing holds."
"Ah. They are very not-nicer." A shrug as the Seer took a long draft of his pipe before letting the smoke pool around in front of him. Before pushing his muzzle through like he was the Great Horned one himself coming through a warpsmoke filled portal! But it was smiled rather than rage. "But-but! Right-correct you are! The world is indeed wide-thick." Eyeing the fine rumps of his she-slaves as they finished up scrubbing Enket likely more clean than he had ever been before! His cheeks and muzzle currently getting light brushing as Enket tried to keep eye contact with Mormel. "It is shame-lame that you have never been able to experience-enjoy treatment like this before. It really makes you think-ponder doesn't it?" Enket nodding as he looked at the two She-slaves who seemed to be done so the brown rat would lean back to sit down on his rump again. Trying not to think to much about being bare furred. "Perhaps-hope you can join Skaul in New Skavenbl...ahh." Mormel tapping his nose. "Under-Altdorf one day-day. Even if it was only a stop-point before you move on for later work-mission." Mormel pulling himself off the cushions as he headed over toward the covered table, the Elf-thing offering Enket another preserved pear which was taken with a quiet 'thank-thank'! What a good little scout. "In fact! I will have an offer-deal for your Chief. You've impressed me Enket, and if others of your clan-home are as skilled as you Skaul would be greatly interested in a contract-deal."
Well! Enkets eyes wide as the pear was half in his mouth before he slowly sunk those teeth into it. Mind-wheel rolling along faster now as he blinked. A proper alliance that sounded like it may be more than what the other larger clans kicked Gilms way in the form of keeping their Thralls from kicking down Gilms door and stealing all their records. Which Gilm had to give up pretty much for free to those great clans to get. A proper contract, especially something official that could be framed and presented, from a clan that had the claws of many Grey Seers holding onto their position would do wonders for Gilm. The mouth full of the pear swallowed as Enket blinked again. And he had been the one to get their feet in the door! A smile starting to spread across his mouth. It had been him! He would be, "Reward time Enket!"
Mormel throwing aside the cloth that had covered the table since Enket had stumbled in the room. Enket slowly turning to see what his first great reward would be before the pear dropped from his mouth. The table was covered in coils of rope, manacles of metal and leather, cutting tools, and what looked like muzzles?! Mormel turned sideways to Enket as he used both his arms to display the table to the stunned scout! His paws even doing little jazzy motions as the Seer beamed at him! "Stupid-traitor Belrod's ropes and wrappings were bad-rough! I will be much more gentle-fun." One of his hands removing the prize book from his robe pocket where Enket could see a bookmark in it which helped Mormel open it to that page and hold it up so Enket could see the picture on the page and the title of the section. The picture showed a she-man-things upper body with their arms folded toward the middle of their body with their hands under their chin. Their upper body cris crossed with rope that seemed to hold them very snugly. The page titled 'Fisherman's Harness'.
He had risked his life for a book of rope tying?
"A entire book-tome of rope tying!" Mormel, as most Seers tended to claim they could, clearly reading Enkets mind and blank expression as the Seer giggled at Enket before nodding to the she-slaves who pulled Enkets arms up to help him walk over toward Mormel. Letting him stand beside the Seer still stunned as the two quickly pulled out some bandages and wrapped one over his arm cut. Just to make sure the rope didn't rub and pull over that wound.
"R...rope?" Enket finally mumbled out as he blinked at the large table. It was just covered in the stuff. A small memory breaking through Enkets mental block to remember that blue rope just like that had been in Mormels chair the last time he was here. Had this...
"Been the plan all along yes-yes! Much better rope-wrapping than that stupid-traitor." A coil of it picked up and set right in Enkets hands. Which he at least managed to hold onto as he stupidly looked from Mormel to the table again. A small part of his mind recognizing that it was much softer than what had tied him up in that room. "Now you get your reward-prize for being such a good little scout-survivor. Deal-pacts can come later!" The soft blue rope soon removed from Enkets hands, easy to do as the scout seemed to be finally catching up on what was about to happen, before Mormel would uncoil part of it and slip the rest into one of his large rope pockets. Ready to pull out more when needed as the Seer snatched those wrists and squished them together. "Right like that-that Enket, there's a good rat." The man-thing moving to beside Mormel so she could hold the book open for him so he could have both hands for the wrapping. "Always fun-fun to try new things!" Starting with the rope held in a bight as he started to wrap it around Enkets wrists. Just before Enket tried to tug them back.
"Ssseer-Master!" He finally squeaked but Mormel had already wrapped it around twice and had a good hold of it with one hand. As the second patted Enkets cheek.
"Shhh, now-now Enket relax. You did good-hard work. Now you get your reward from me-me." Mormel already with a massive smile on his face. This was clearly something he enjoyed doing. "I'll be gentle-nice. It will be fun!" And as something he enjoyed Mormel had already seen the tell tale signs. The quick but not panicked breaths, the staring at the rope but not him, and how Enket had only moved his arms not his feet to resist. The scout may be unsure but he was curious. He was right where Mormel wanted him. "Here. To help you process these emotion-thoughts - tell me-me about the mission. Did you get to the river-tunnel alright?" The bight tugged over the two wraps around Enkets wrist before Mormel expertly slid it under the restraints before pulling it over and through the main rope to tighten down over the main wrap! The elf-thing picking up some funny looking scissors and leaning against the table to watch. Ready to hand Mormel more rope but also ready with the clippers for if Enket needed out fast. Safety was important after all!
Not that Enket knew what the clippers were for as he err ummed and watched as Mormel pulled up his arms so they were resting against his chest. Fists now under his head before the Seer moved around to Enkets left side and pulled the rope over his left shoulder to his back. His softly wriggling tail giving much of his thoughts away as he tried to focus on the question. "Ah-umm well yes-yes. The Underway was clear to the river-tunnel." Mormel moving around his back with the rope as it now snaked around his right side before he pulled it flat across his chest. Before back around his left again as Enket now had one line of rope around his chest. "But once I got down to the river itself-self I saw uhh...badness." The second line looped over the top of the first before pulled under to slightly tighten the whole thing down against the scouts back.
"Badness? What kind?" The first loop being pulled back over itself again just to make sure it was goood n tight. Making Enket squeak quietly as he tried to stay on task - the blue rope didn't compliment his yellow headfur very well but it did stand out well against his brown bare fur.
"Two night goblins. And a man-thing," those big ears lowering down as Enket gently shuddered. Mormel using the time to walk around Enket again as a second line of rope was now over his front. "A Witch-thing-Hunter." Mormel frowning at that but not stopping of course as now he was back to the coils at Enkets back as he stuck out his tongue slightly to slide the rope under the uplifted part of his previous loop before pulling the length of the rope through it.
"Judging by how you explain-told that those two met each other rather than you-you?" Tugging on the second loop to slide it up towards the first little knot so the two were touching. And snug!
Enket nodding as his firsts squished into his neck, setting those big ears waggling. "Yes-yes. Man-thing shot one of them before I scamper-scurried away toward the town. I didn't see the Witch-thing again. So must have squeezed the other goblin for fun." Mormel pausing to run the back of his hands down one of Enkets large ears which made Enket squirm and quietly squeak. Adorable.
"Well done escaping that. Very well done." Compliments to help keep him calm as the Seer walked around him again to now make three lines as he once more pulled the rope under the uplifted part of the previous knot and tugged that snug. "It was midday-day when you left. What time did you get to the town?" Mormel circling Enket one last time to have four before he stood behind him and looked back at the book and its instructions. He now needed to go back up to make this all secure. And that Countess lady really had skilled note takers in her employ as these instructions were just excellent. Stopping Mormel from making a mistake by warning about going against the tension he had already made by informing him he needed to go over the last line he made before then going under to start going back up. Well done man-things!
"Near sundown. The man-things were just finishing their work-time while I was hiding in the wood-trees. But one idiot-man found me." A little hiss, that was replaced by another squeak as Mormel raised up to lightly nip Enkets other ear! After all his hands were full. "Ahh...umm...But I sling-stoned him. Then used a branch-tree to hold him under the water for drowning." The slaves grunting at that but not making any other action as the Seer was keeping them from a much worse fate. Mormel glancing at everyone before nodding and back to the harness. Under and then over then over again. And again. The long rope now out of his pocket and slapping on the floor every again as he needed to pull the entire thing through each time.
"Shorter rope next time," he noted to himself before adding. "Can tie-wrap to this one, still same length in two parts. But continue the report-tale Enket." Enkets right shoulder now getting the rope over it as Mormel moved to be in front. Now to make it all secure!
"Well-uhh," worriedly looking from one she-slave to the other in case those special scissors were suddenly inside his eye sockets before he tried to explain first. "Man-thing could have warned the town, had to silence-dispose of!" His nose getting beeped by Mormel as he shook his head.
"Don't worry about it Enket. Focus on report-tale." They were his slaves and would act properly, silly Enket needed to as well. Starting to make a series of...what did the book call these? Munter Hitches. Odd name for a cross-over hitch! Perhaps the book even had an index of some kind to explain these terms. It was a pretty large book.
Enket was kind of glad that Mormel was moving the story along. It meant he could avoid explaining that one of the reasons he had killed that man thing was due to a shiny he wanted. Not that it mattered as he lost that too. And he looked down at Mormels work so he could not look at the she-slaves. The knots did look rather nice and even to his none engineer mind it looked like it would really make the rope secure on him. Voch would probably get much joy seeing this. Not only for Enket being tied up and he watching but also for all the different systems inside the harness. But he had a story to tell! "Well I move-ran off and hid in other wood-trees. Stupid dog-thing almost found me but I managed to stay hidden. Tried to sleep-nap but couldn't. Man-things kept moving through the wood-trees likely looking for a reason as to why the stupid-thing had drowned." The rope wrapped around his elbow, over the front and then under against his body before it was pulled behind him. Mormel working on over-undering the rope a few times to make it snug around himself. "Only light-small rest...I was worried that the entire plan-scheme was falling apart."
Another ear pat and squirm as Mormel pulled the rope back across Enkets back before sliding it under the first loop he had done. Then able to slide the rope over Enkets left shoulder to bring it over so he could start to strengthen that side as well. "But you managed it! Well-good job. Did you meet the traitor-scum in the spot I told you about?" Enket nodding as the Seer started to hitch the rope down that side as well. But going the opposite direction compared to the other? Enk looking over at the book as well as it showed to do it that way as well. Much have been some reason.
"Yes-yes. Deal seemed to be going well. He showed me the book-prize and me-me the money. And we even traded the goods." Enket squinting at the space between Mormels horns. "And then...uhh...I woke up bound-tied in a room. I don't remember much else before that." The knots almost all done down to the bottom as those horns almost slacked into Enkets face as their owner nodded.
"Scum-cowards likely snuck up on you and struck from behind. Cowards! Not like honorable Skaven." Mormel looking up at Enket and giving him an exaggerated wink. Making Enket smile back at him. It did help him not get riled up at what had happened to him slightly - making light of a bad situation. After all he had managed to escape. And was going to be getting Gilm an excellent deal. It had worked out good. The rope slid under Enkets elbow before Mormel was behind him again. And judging by how little of the rope was left there wasn't much left. Good? "And then you used your tail to cut your way out-free?" Mormel sliding the rope through one of the bottom loops before going back on himself to make a little crescent hitch. Holding that tight as he patted that tail base. Making Enket jump and epp as the wriggly tail was nabbed by Mormel.
"Yes-yes!"
"Well-well! Can't have that can we?" The book closed as Enket was helped to the ground by the she-slaves as Mormel crouched next to him. Humming along happily as he used the remainder of the rope to lightly wrap around Enkets tail and tie up up along his back to the harness. Giving that now better exposed butt a pat pat. "There-there. Typical no-furs not knowing how important our tails are. No-tail no-fur fools." That tail tip wriggling around as much as it can as Enket lay there huffing quietly. Looking back at Mormel rather embarrassed at all this.
But he couldn't lie that that wasn't an awful experience.
Well that was until Mormel held out his hand and a green rope was set in it by the she-man-thing before he snapped the end of it tight with a snap. "Now-now, for the legs!"
And those legs were still sore when Enket finally stumbled his way back into Skavenblight. Redressed in his old clothes but still likely cleaner than hed ever been in a long time. Thankfully one of Skauls Stormvermin had escorted him back to Blight through the Underway. Enket doing his best to remember the way so he could update Gilms map so he wouldn't need to try and not get crushed under paw in the Marsh itself. Raising up his hands to plap on his own cheeks to try and focus. A lot, lot, had happened to him the past days. Lots to try and work out. Lots of new emotions and...interests? And a lot of new gear to try and get too. He doubted he would have much if any tokens left once he got back at least the basics. Surely his journal and Mormels Mark being gone wouldn't be bad right? At least Mormel didn't care about it so it should be fine.
Besides...he did have one new thing.
Glancing down at his left wrist Enket smiled at the leather manacle that Mormel had given him once he was finally unbound from the ground. For doing such a good job Mormel gave him a parting gift to remember him by. It was very comfortable on his fur. Made him feel good! Mormel really seemed to care about him and like him. Well maybe? He was a Seer things like that were very hard to tell and could likely change tomorrow but for right now? He felt like he had someone outside Gilm who liked him. And that felt good. Turning his wrist over to flick the dangling metal oval on the under side. It was nice and shiny too. Thankfully Enket was able to stop himself before running into the back of the Skaul as he stopped at the entrance to the small Warren where Gilm was based. Both Skaven ears flicking at a scratchy voice from the main stage. Before they glanced at each other and quickly ran inside the Warren itself.
Thankfully the Seer delivering the sermon was too busy making massive sweeps with his arms to notice the two late arrivals and the Skaven surrounding the stage were busy looking down to notice them either. Enket falling into a kneel next to Kekkan who he noticed first as the Skaul knelt behind the two. Kekkans tail patting Enkets hand as one of his hands gave him a thumbs up but as a proper loyal child of the Horned one Kekkan didn't look back. Only at the floor to debase himself before their twisted father. As all the other rats did. As was demanded of them. Enket though couldn't stop his mind from wandering as he glanced again at the leather wristlet. So nice. And soon he would be rewarded by Chief too! Though that Seer on the stage? In the brief look he had had before he prostrated himself he looked different from their normal one. Maybe he could get another look once the sermon was finished?
Turned out the answer to that was no as the Seer quickly cleared of the stage once they were done. And the rising mass around him stopped Enket from spotting anything. Ah well. Likely wasn't important. The sermon was for the whole Warren after all so none of the clans around got favored more than the others. Though it was nice to see that Voch was out as well. And with a new orange scarf too?
"Moving up eh Voch?" Enket voiced with a thumbs up to his favorite Slave! The Skaul grunting and wishing Enket well before he turned and shoved his way past a few other clanrats before he left. Enket missing Kekken take a long long at Enkets new accessory as Voch happily nodded.
"Yes-yes! While you were gone your uhhh...favorite-best Seer?" Enket pulling a face but keeping himself from doing more than that as the Gilm moved back toward their base. "Order-demanded some dinner. Kekkan and me-me were sent to deliver it."
"Eugh...what poor-idiot sap was fed to the black-maw?"
"Three Eshin thralls." Kekken chuckled from behind the two as they all entered Gilms home. "They were kind-stupid enough to offer themselves, after a few punches and squeeze-chokes of course." The Stormvermins eyes gleaming with joy in his helmet as Voch nodded.
"It went extra good-good...You seem to have had a less good-fun time? Where's all your gear-items?" Enket giving a dismissive wave with his leather faced wrist as he seemed in good spirits despite the loss.
"Complications that were overcome-beaten!" Looking around the entrance as the rest of Gilm filed off back to their duties. "Where Chief-Word? I have a deal-pact to explain to hiACK." Both Kekkan and Voch stepping back in shock at the sudden shout as Enket had the most peculiar feeling inside his head. Like his eyes were suddenly outside his body watching him. As his left arm rotated to be pointing behind him at a spot he was now 'looking' at despite seeing himself in front of...himself?
BAMF!
And with a puff of smoke Mormel suddenly was standing in the entrance to Gilm. Staff held in both his hands tightly before he glanced around and smiled. A successful targeted skitterleap! "Not to worry-panic Enket! I will explain the deal-pact personally!" Striking a pose for the three Gilm Skaven after his successful spell! That only Kekkan was really seeing as Voch had ran forward to catch Enket as he toppled forward to land on his face. Voch able to catch him to at least stop him impacting the floor. Kekkan dropping to one knee before the Seer as Mormel frowned at the now limp Enket. "Humm...some adjustment required." Before resting his staff against his shoulder and clapping his paws. "Anyway! Stormvermin! Where is your Chief?"
"Right here Seer-Lord," Word Chief grunted as he ducked under one of the passage ways to be inside the entrance room. Glancing at the scene of Voch trying to hold up Enket and Kekkan kneeling before sighing. Reaching past his glasses to flip his hood down to try and get some more air circulation, clearly slightly worried about something. But he let his pick clack against the floor before holding his free hand across his chest and bowing his head to Mormel. There was still procedures to follow. "Is this a deal-pact that can be discussed on route? I've just been demand-summoned to a meeting."
Mormel nodding as he moved aside to allow Chief to head to the door. "Of course!" Looking over at Voch and chuckling. "Well aren't you an adorable-cute little helper. Get him some sleep he'll be fine." Waggling some sparking fingers at Voch. "Just a bit too much Winds taken. I'll adjust-fiddle with it later."
"Kekkan, with us," Kekken quickly rising to follow the two out the door toward the meeting.
"Oh! You are Kekkan! Fascinating." Mormel could be heard happily saying as the large door shut. Voch side mouthing at all that before he turned Enket over, slid his arms under the scouts, and started to drag him back toward the dorms. Hed get answers soon enough right? Thankfully for the small Slave another clanrat showed up to help lift up Enkets feet so both could carry him to a sleeping hole to be dumped inside.

KurbonThe world slowly started to come into focus as Enkets ratty nose would wriggle and sniff. Food. Eyes gaining more of their normal glow as the room he was in came into more focus. As did the feeling of the blanket over his shoulders. An interior cavern. Two tables, one with food and one covered...Where was he? Eyes brightening up as he chewed on the fruit and slowly looked around. However much of that Enket processed as he flailed in the bench seat seemed to be enough for him to not want to be there.

Haa! What a tale! Such a fun story this has been, so very enjoyable! Very grateful! :)
Enket finally got back to safety, got to have his reward, along with a great deal of confusing emotions. But trust Enket to learn, adapt, improve-better himself! He is a very good scout rat after all... and he makes the cutest squeaks.
Once again, thank you for the detail on that tie, that really helps visualize the whole thing. I hadn't known that one yet! Must admit, I'd actually done the same as Mormel did. "Oh, let's try this while you talk-explain!" That was exactly in-character! ^^
Very much looking forward to more adventures of these three! And what kind of deal might be hatched with the Chief himself... and that ominous other Grey Seer, of course...

Thank you so much Kurbon! So glad you like it and how I portrayed your Seer :>
And despite those adorable squeaks, squirms, and tail wriggels it seems like Enket didn't hate it! Give him some time to think about what happened and I'm sure he'll want to do it again! To see if he really liked it for science of course.
Good to know Mormel is a fan of multitasking! Just makes the entire process seem more normal and common. Which if Enket hangs around it will be! The book is rather large after all and they only did one of the entries - and the scout is such a good model for demonstrating!
Hopefully the next inbetweeny story will be a fun one for the characters involved and the readers before the next proper adventure begins. I think once I finish the meeting, or maybe before, I'm going to try and get some of my DnD world written down some more. Just so I don't potentially get tired of our favorite little squeakers. But who knows! Maybe my brain will just demand more rattos! Like a Great Father has hold of me!
