I imagine that Kris doesn't know how effective their silence is against Maya's bullying. Yes, the bullying does hurt them, but their nonverbal response is actually kind of an asset. Hopefully they'll realize that at some point. And if that doesn't work, hopefully Asriel can step in and get help to stop the bullying. Maybe they can both leave school at the same time in the future?
All in all, quite an intense read. Not sure if this is a one off or part of a greater project. Either way thanks for sharing!
