I'm a little late uploading these, but screw it, Pride all year long! :)

This is the fourth in an eight-image series of YCH practices I did for Pride.

This one features a little poem I wrote very impromptu as I was drawing. Inspired by my hippie character Zenith holding the classic Gilbert Baker pride flag, I wanted to write a short poem about the decades-long project of queer liberation. Although at this moment in time many of us are experiencing our first major setbacks in our march toward equal rights, and it is a scary time for many of us to be queer and out, we need to remember that these fights are not unlike the fights of our forbearers, and those fights have been won. We will get back what we have lost and then some through solidarity, love and hope.
