Another admin from Team Mask, Dr. Fossid. His lore is that he used to work for the company that invented Rarer Candies, the candies that let people turn into pokemon. He was actually one of the lead scientists. At one point, a rival company managed to steal his research. It was reported, but investigations were taking far too long. He uses one of the prototype Rarer Candies and turned into a Scrafty. He broke into the rival company's main lab and destroyed their full computer set up, as well as most of their equipment, so even if they had an extra copy of his research, they wouldn't have any way to try and make Rarer Candies of their own.

When the Fossid's higher ups found out what happened, the decided to let him go and cut all ties so that they couldn't be held accountable for the vandalism. Fossid was cut from the project completely. He never received and credit for his work on the candies, or any compensation for they high sales after. He was later contacted by the head of Team Mask, asking if he wanted to use his expertise to make a newer, stronger Rarer Candy that would put the company he used to work for to shame. He was more than happy to sign up.
