Next up on the Heroforge concepts, I ended up having 4 bears in my OC cast. That's more than I expected, but I'm too attached to all of the concepts. I decided to upload Marina first so we could have both girlfriends of the couple ASAP.
Unfortunately, there is a major issue with the Heroforge models that I need to address. Marina is supposed to have a chubby belly. Bear stereotypes, I know, but it's necessary :P But what you see here is what happens when you turn up the waist and belly sliders to maximum. Curses. But the model does still serve as a good reference for her color scheme that was convenient to make. Her adventuring armor doesn't have a weapon because I wasn't sure whether I wanted her to join the adventure or just have an armor set for kinkplay. But upon further consideration, I've decided she can be the sword wielder to Gus as the axe wielder and two other OCs that form an armor knight quartet.
Marina's inspiration isn't quite as elaborate as some of the others. There's just a bunch of toon polar bears that I like. But if I had to pick one in particular to highlight, the teal wardrobe was inspired by the polar bear bartender from GBA Frogger: the Forgotten Relic. The GBA Froggers were a smolgator nostalgia.
Marina's lore is super WIP. She needs something to occupy herself with in her everyday life, and also a more solid personality than "being the cool blue to Ruby's hot red." Yes, I know, red-blue duality is also a bit overplayed, but we're doing it anyway :P There is one quote I have in mind for her, though. "Yeah, I know Marina's not the most 'creative' trans girl name, especially not for a polar bear. But I like it. It fits me. That's why I picked it. I don't see why there should be an issue here."
Hooray for mercifully short descriptions \ :) /
