Welp, here's what's essentially the Team Rocket of my AU, so expect a lot of shenanigans from them! (NOTE: I intend to add a 4th member once Sonic Superstars comes out)
Fang the Hunter
A mercenary hailing from the Scraplands, Fang has aspirations to gain as much wealth as possible, no matter what he has to do. With the help of a flying "aero bike' he created, the Marvellous Queen, he managed to become a world renowned criminal (to the point that he had to take on different names at times, like Nack the Weasel), despite many, MANY hiccups. Overtime, he decided to get some help, and formed the Hooligans, consisting of himself, a former Battle Bird Armada Soldier with a love for explosions named Bean, a wanderer of few words named Bark, and an up and coming explorer named Trip. Together, they committed many crimes, although thanks to Fang's ego, Trip's clumsiness, and Bean's recklessness, their crimes usually land them in trouble.
Bean the Dynamite
Bean used to be a new recruit for the Eggman Empire's Air Force, the Battle Bird Armada. But when he went through orientation (essentially soldiers getting brainwashed to be absolutely loyal to Eggman), the machine malfunctioned and made him a little crazy and gave him an obsession with blowing stuff up. He proved to be a problem for the armada due to his disloyalty and was discharged and locked up to receive "Robotomy Treatment", but he escaped and became an anarchist. He eventually caught the eye of Fang and got recruited to the Hooligans to serve as their demolitions expert. But his love for explosions tend to cause them problems, especially when their jobs involve subtlety, something in which Bean doesn't seem to understand (or care).
Bark the Polar Bear
Hailing from Glacierland, Bark likes to wander from town to town, testing his strength against many opponents. Eventually, he decided to leave his homeland to search for more opponents (which was lucky, as after he left, the Eggman Empire invaded), where he caught the eye of the mercenary, Fang, where he recruited Bark to serve as the Hooligans' muscle. Bark is a bear of few words, prefering to let his actions speak for him, although he has a gentle heart that he rarely shows due to being shy (he does show that side of him more openly to Trip).
Trip the Sungazer
A descendant of an ancient tribe that protected one of the seven Chaos Emeralds until they were wiped out when the Titan guarding the Emerald went on a rampage. Trip wandered the world alone, looking to survive and learn more about her people, until she encountered the criminal group called "The Hooligans". Interested, she followed them in secret, but because of her klutziness, she was discovered easily and was held prisoner. It wasn't until Trip helped the the Hooligans out of a jam in an ancient temple where Fang decided to take her in as his apprentice. But in reality, he wanted to use her potential connection to the Chaos Emeralds to find them for himself, and she is unaware of this. Thankfully, while Fang does mistreat her at times, she gets along better with Bean and Bark (the latter, more so).
