This huge tree and the soft bed of leaves below it form a rustic background for my Roosebeck Lute-kulele. This instrument is modeled after a Renaissance-era lute. It has four courses of strings tuned to the GCEA of a tenor ukulele. Like a real lute, the top and bottom courses are single strings while the inner ones are doubled.
If you look through my gallery, it is apparent that I like shooting closeups of musical instruments. But for my second book of guitar photos, I decided to get them out “in the wild” for for some full-body photos.

Zakur has an original: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52670701/ and he says it is real hard to play since it has no frets...

Ah, yes. That one is an Oud, which is related to the Lute. I believe the frets on a traditional Renaissance lute were made of gut. The ones on my instrument are nylon.
Interestingly, Godin Guitars who are based in Canada offer a modern electric version of the Oud, the MultiOud.
